Surfulater Version 1.80, B0.0 Release Notes 7 July 2005

This release enables you to store any files you like inside Surfulater Articles, fixes a few problems and delivers more improvements. Don't forget we've got a new Blog and our Support forums are good place to give us your feedback and get assistance.

What's New

• PDF files, Word documents, ZIP files or any type of file can now be stored along with Surfulater articles. This enables you to keep all of your important information together in one place. See the Help topic Power Features|Attaching files to Articles
• The popup message that is displayed when a new Web Article is added, can now be turned off.
• The popup message that is displayed when a new Web page Attachment is added, can now be turned off.
• Error diagnostics have been enhanced for Web Database Errors.
• When Surfulater checks to see if there is a new release available it now uses the URL www.newrelease.softasitgets.com instead of www.softasitgets.com. If you are using a software firewall, you may need to enable access to the new URL for Surfulater's new version checking to work.

What's Fixed

• Double click on a .Surfulater file in Windows Explorer works correctly again. This broke in the last release.
• Capturing Web content with Images that use spaces in their filenames now works correctly.
• A problem with capturing images from other programs has been fixed.
• A problem parsing URL's has been fixed. This could result in incorrect article content.
• Web pages saved to your PC which include & in the filename now Add as Article Attachments correctly. Thanks to Marlene LaVarta for reporting this.
• Fixed several references to incorrect Web pages at www.surfulater.com
