Hi
Quite a few applications these days are providing the ability to copy links (URI's) to their internal locations - which in Surfulater, could be a Folder, an Article in the tree, or a location/bookmark/anchor inside an Article... These links/URI's can then be copied to other applications, and when clicked from there, navigate you back to the exact link location inside Surfulater. This would enable me to use Surfulater URI's in a mapping program like Mind Manager, or Personal Brain - i.e. have a mapping front end/GUI to all my saved web pages. Here's an example custom URI from a notes program I use called ConnectedText: ct://Semantic%20Discovery%20Systems/W3C%20STUFF It would be really great to have these URI's avaiable for Surfulater... Are there already plans to do this? This is becoming a very popular need... Thanks |

Ian, I've just received an e-mail quoting your post and asking whether this has been implemented, to which I replied: The ability to use links in other applications back to Surfulater Articles was added back in 2007. The Blog post Surfulater V2.30.10.0 Released - External Links... fully describes this capability. Also see 'Power Features | External Links' in the Surfulater Help.
