ED V4.11, B0.11 Release Notes
ED4W Version 4.11, Build 0.11 Release Notes
These Release Notes are also included in the ED distribution.
This update adds some new features and addresses some issues.
There is an updated version of EDToolBar.dll in this release. In the past some users PC's haven't correctly updated to a new release of this DLL. If that happens to you, first try restarting Windows. If that fails then check your ED Directory for EDToolBar.* and locate a file 21 Jul 2005, 11:16am. Copy or rename this to EDToolBar.dll
What's New- The Difference Analysis dialog width has been increased to enable longer filenames to be displayed.
- The drop-down portion of comboboxes used in ED's dialog boxes now have their width set to that of the widest item in the list. This enables you to see the full text for all combo items.
- Scrolling using K_WindowScrollDownLC and K_WindowScrollUpLC now auto- highlight matching brackets when you are positioned on a bracket and the scroll action brings its matching bracket into view. Requested by Max Dirnberger.
- Automatic bracket highlighting no longer works inside comments. You can thank or blame Jay Burns for this.
- The menu item chosen in Macro|Insert Stamp is now recorded during macro recording.
What's Fixed- K_SelectColumn, K_SelectCharInclusive etc. now close any selection created by the new bracket highlighting feature. Thanks to Farhan Ahmad for reporting this.
- A problem where the font used for Toolbar comboboxes would change at random times has been fixed. Thanks to Russell Robinson for his assistance.
- When a file is Removed from the File|Open Favorites or History lists the corresponding Toolbar drop down list is now updated to reflect the change. Reported by David Purdie and Mike Hilton.
- Goto|Next Function & Previous Function could leave a previous next/previous function action partially highlighted. This has been fixed.
- A problem where Surfulater messes up ED's display may possibly be fixed.
- A bug in ED's internal XML parser which could cause ED to crash has been fixed.
